Thanks for the offer, I have a printed copy of the official workshop manual and I can't find it in it.

So, I have removed the 4 plastic tabs and the 2 bolts that secure the tank cover to the tank and there appears to be something else securing it. Can anyone cast any light on what I am missing?

There's derelict cottages across the mountain sides. Must've been harsh in winter in times past..... Most likely from the Famine era.
